About the event

Starting with a woodland ramble beside Stockghyll Force waterfalls, we'll then pull up openfellside to the scenically advantageous and rocky top of Wansfell Pike (482m).  Bring a flask to pause and enjoy the epic views dow Windermere and the surrounding mountains.  From here, we can test our Lakeland geography, and see if we can spot the Helvellyn range, High Street, Langdale Pikes, Scafells and the Old Man of Coniston.

The climb is moderate, but all the hard work is now done and we can enjoy a pleasant circumnavigation back around to Ambleside via Troutbeck and the lovely Skelghyll Wood.
